sheraton parco de medici shuttle

sheraton parco de medici shuttle

1. Rome city center (Via Luigi Petroselli)

2. Magliana Metro station (line B)

3. Shopping Mall Euroma2

GETTING AROUND

  • By Third Party Shuttle
      • Downtown Scheduled Shuttle Service
        • 8 EUR per person to Fiumicino Airport; 5 EUR per person to the city center; 3 EUR per person to the Magliana Metro Station/Euroma2 Shopping Mall.
5€ - get the ticket from reception - You have an option to pay in the bus or put it onto your room account. This is two-way ticket. Not sure bout the exact shedule, but I know there are two returning busses one around 18:30 and second 21:30. I took the mornig bus at 10:30 from the hotel. The schedule is located at the main enterance (building 2).

  •  I also liked the fact that for 5 Euros each we could get a round-trip ride into the heart of Rome and the shuttle ran fairly often (gosh I am happy I decided against renting a car).

    1. Is the Hotel reachable by public transportation?
The nearest bus station is only 500 m from our Hotel. It takes only e few stops to the metro station from where you can easily reach the city center. However we offer shuttle services from the Hotel to reach the city center.

    Yes. Forget Uber in Italy.
They charge at least the same as private car transfers with limo drivers (which is exactly what Uber drivers are in Italy) and almost certainly more than a taxi.

Book a private car transfer in advance: as Uber, better then Uber. And cheaper

When we were in Italy last year in May/June, my son had an app on his iPhone to request official, city-licensed taxis.

In correspondence with the exits of Terminal 1, 2 and 3 at Rome Fiumicino Airport, is available a Rome airport taxi service. Rates vary depending on the area where you are going; here are the main ones:
to and from Fiumicino Airport-Aurelian Walls (Rome Center) €48
to and from Fiumicino Airport-Tiburtina Station €55
to and from the Fiumicino Airport-Ciampino Airport €50
Taxi to and from the Fiumicino Airport-Civitavecchia Port €120
The service fee is inclusive of luggage, for a maximum of four passengers.

All above rates are fixed by the Rome municipality and may be subject to change without notice.

Passengers are advised to check the origin (Rome or Fiumicino) of the taxi before you get on board, because the fees charged by the Municipality of Fiumicino, are higher than indicated in this table.

Vehicles intended for the taxi service of the City of Rome and Fiumicino Municipality are white, and they are recognized by the sign “TAXI” on the roof and the license identification number on the doors, on the back and inside the car.

  10. Note that regular taxi drive to and from the airport is fixed 35€ so you are better off using Uber.
